What types of products do you offer?
I sell handmade fabric based homeware including weighted draught excluders, sand filled fabric door stops, lampshades, wheat bags, table runners, coasters and more.
Where are the products made?
Everything is sewn by myself in my home studio in Hertfordshire, UK.
Do you offer discounts or promo codes?
New customers can use WELCOME10 at check out for a 10% discount providing the item is not already on sale.
Are your draught excluders machine washable?
Yes, my draught excluders come with machine washable covers, making it easy to keep them clean and fresh for your home. I recommend they are washed on a gentle cycle at no higher than 30c and line dry only.
Can I customize the size of the draught excluders?
Absolutely. Simply size and up and input the size required in the field directly beneath the 'add to basket' button. This service is available at no additional cost. However please message me if you require a draught excluder longer than 140 cm.
How heavy does a door stop need to be?
You can test the weight required for your door by placing a known weight, such as a bag of sugar or rice against it. For reference, our filled doorstops weigh in at a touch under 2 kg - approximately 1.95 kg. Our unfilled doorstops can handle more weight - 2.5-3 kg approximately.
How long will it take to turn around my order?
I aim to start preparing orders within 1-2 days of receipt. Generally speaking you should receive your item within a week. If this is not likely to be the case I'll email you to let you know.
What are your shipping costs?
Shipping costs vary depending on the size and weight of your order. Depending on length, a single draught excluder will cost £3.95 to £4.50 for postage. Single draught excluders are sent 1st Class by Royal Mail. Two draught excluders would generally cost £5.95 and be sent by Evri on a 2-3 day service. Small, lightweight items such as lavender bags, eye pillows, push pins and key fobs are sent Royal Mail and cost £2 for 1st Class delivery. Postage is automatically calculated as you add items to your basket so the checkout page will show how much postage your order will cost.
What is your return policy?
I accept returns and exchanges. Please contact me within 7 days of delivery and return the items within 14 days to Katy Webster Homeware, 16 Greystoke Close, Berkhamsted, HP4 3JJ. Items must be carefully packed and returned in re-sellable condition. Note that buyers are responsible for return postage costs.
How do you package your products for shipping?
Most items are dispatched in mailing bags made from sugar cane or recycled plastic, while boxed items are sent in boxes made from recycled cardboard, secured with paper Kraft tape. Boxed doorstops and lampshades are protected further by a polythene bag to protect from any water damage (rain!)
